Petition Letter: Petition for Reconsideration of Final Grade in ARTV 102

Dear Petition Board Members,

I am writing to formally request a reconsideration of my final grade for ARTV 102, in which I received an F. I believe this grade does not accurately reflect my academic ability or engagement with the course, and I respectfully ask for a review of the circumstances that affected my performance.

At the time the first major assignment was due, I was not yet officially enrolled in the course. This delay in enrollment prevented me from accessing course materials and completing the assignment, which significantly impacted my overall grade.

Once enrolled, I made every effort to participate in the course and complete all remaining assessments to the best of my ability. I believe the final grade does not reflect the work I was able to complete or my understanding of the course material.

I respectfully request that the board consider this context and allow for a fair reassessment of my performance. If possible, I would be grateful for the opportunity to complete an alternative evaluation or for a reweighting of the final exam to better reflect my academic efforts.
