Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern:
Hope this letter finds you well.
I am Jasmine Kong with student number 20260304, I am sorry to submit this petition a little later because I was busy working on another petition that related to my following years after finishing other exams. Also, I have waited for my family member to come back home to submit a petition because my phone has broken and can’t receive the verification message anymore. I am writing this letter because I want to really request a chance to finish my final exam of Phar 100 and midterm of Micr 484. I know that I should finish the final exam of phar 100 on the 19th, but I got very sick since the weekend before 19th because I felt a little under pressure about the Board Meeting that I had to attend that was related to my following academic year. I think that kind of anxious feeling affected my body and I used to think I will be recovered on 19th, but I had a fever of 38 degree at that time so I totally couldn’t do the exam as 38 degree of fever made me feel very dizzy and I used to try to force myself to get up from bed but it mostly made me fall down to the floor when I tried this, so I think I really need one another chance to finish the exam. I only had about 13 marks reduced from the phar 100 course so finishing this exam is really important to me as I really want to do my best in every course that I have taken from now. For the Micr 484 midterm, the reason can be said that from the same area. The time that I am supposed to take the midterm was the day that I needed to attend the Board Meeting, and the Board Meeting made me feel very nervous about anything because it’s really a meaningful and significant meeting for me. The whole morning before the meeting, I couldn’t do anything because I was nervous so I wrote a letter to my professor to say if I can do the midterm exam after the meeting, but my professor said that I have to submit a petition to defer the exam before he can reschedule it for me. I really like the Micr 484 class and also only have around 20 marks reduced for the course, thus having a chance to finish the midterm is also very important to me. Hope the Dean can give me this chance, I really will finish these exams well if I can be given one last chance. I didn’t just say it based on nothing, I have successfully finished all my exams in my CHEM 281 and BCHM 218 while getting an A + in IDIS 373, so I'm pretty sure I have the ability to finish these two exams, all I need it’s a chance. I have realized that deferring exams is not a good thing to do on my road of studying, so I promise this would be the last petition that I would submit for deferring exams. Thank you for your help for all these years and sorry for any trouble that may have caused, just one last time…
