Subject: Petition for Credit (CR) Standing in DEVS 102
Dear
I am writing to formally request a Credit (CR) standing for my grade in DEVS 102 – Canada in the World. While I successfully completed all course requirements and achieved a passing grade, I received a D, which I believe does not accurately reflect my academic capabilities or effort.
The extenuating circumstance that significantly impacted my performance was the teaching assistant (T.A.) strike, which lasted for the majority of the semester. This disruption meant that I did not receive timely feedback on assignments and was unable to view grades until after the academic year had ended. As a result, I could not learn from my mistakes in real time or adjust my work to improve future submissions. This lack of guidance and assessment during the semester materially affected my ability to succeed in the course.
I recognize that the Credit (CR) standing is reserved for students who have completed all course requirements and achieved a passing grade under circumstances beyond their control. I respectfully submit that my situation meets these criteria.
Please let me know if further documentation or forms are required to process this request. I appreciate your consideration of my petition and the opportunity to ensure that my transcript fairly reflects my academic record.
Sincerely,
Kristian Circelli
