Petition Letter: hello my name is Andrew Quiroz,

After a tough year last year I decided to start thinking of minoring in Music as it is my passion besides stiudying history which I plan to major in.

I will major in History next year and minor in Music studies, however one of the courses required to be a music minor and enter the program is MUSC 156 digtial editing and mixing

A very interesting course in my personal opinion.

As of last week I was on the waitlist for it and was number 3/4 on the waitlist number however it was removed last night on Monday September 15 and I thought perhaps I didn't get in

The next day (Tuesday sept 16) I logged in to SOLUS and found out that there are 3 empty spots, and I was confused at first but then tried my luck and tried to get in however it said the request could not be complete so that was confusing as well. Perhaps it had something to do with my course schedule as there was a conflict in time with one of my classes but I was willing to drop it had I got into the course. SO I decided to drop it so that I could enroll and it still didn't work

I do really need to get in this course as it is a Prerequisite for future music courses and to be a minor student in the music program the next few years. Plus I find it very appealing to me and am willing to put in the work to catch up for it if need be.
