To whom this may concern,
I am writing with regard to continued enrollment at queens. I registered at Queens as a distance education student enrolling in the first course called ¿¿Critical Thinking¿. I began the course on schedule. During the period of the course I was diagnosed with a tumor which resulted in me being hospitalized enduring a full hysterectomy and subsequent a stay in hospital and treatment here after. Unfortunately all this occurred at during at the time to which I should have sat the exam for the critical thinking course. Due to my physical condition I was unable to do the exam. During the time of my recovery at home I contacted the school and informed them both of my physical condition and also offered explanation of the current situation As a single parent and being mindful of trying to recuperate and taking care of my child and not having any immediate family support I was unable to follow up consistently with the school until I was fully recovered.
Once I was well enough more recently to commence my studies I followed up with the distance education program about taking the exam explaining what resulted from that inquiry was they did not give me any workable solution only expressing sympathy.
Nonetheless I went unto to registering in a writing course to complete my requirement for continuing education at Queens after I contacted an individual in the Distance Studies program office who did inform me that my GPA was 1.3 and I that completing a course that would afford me at least 1.2 would allow me to continue studies unto part-time Studies at queens as a Mature Student. After completing my last course of which I earned 1.7 I am told my total GPA is 1.5 not at the level to continue further studies at queens.
I still have health challenges however I am working hard to obtain my dream. I would like make an appeal to continue my studies at queens. I believe learning is a lifelong endeavor and I am hoping given the details above consideration can be given to me and I can continue my dream of obtaining a University degree.
Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward in hearing from you.
Regards,
Mervis Brown
