Petition Letter: Hello, hope you guys are doing well.
As I was going over the courses I'm taking, I was looking at the requirements for the certificate in Data Analytics that I am also trying to pursue, and noticed I am missing only 1 course for this (CISC 451). Additionally, it doesn't seem to be offered in the winter term or any other time other than the fall term.
I don't have a time conflict with when the course operates, but it seems to be past the enrolment window. Unfortunately, this seems like the only opportunity that I can ever join this class and complete my certification by the time I graduate as this is my last year. I’d love to be able to take CISC 451. I have attended the CISC 451 lecture and spoke to Professor Tian who teaches the class, and she is all aboard me joining the class.
I actually reached out to advising almost a week ago regarding this exact topic, and unfortunately I have gotten no response. I even tried going to the advisors office only for the door to be closed with a sign saying they are not taking any in-person requests at the moment, only emails (I understand I’m sure they are very busy with a lot of students). This has stressed me out for the past week as precious time has been passing without a response, and so I managed to find this petition site by luck and I hope you guys would be able to help.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I have attended some of the lectures within the class on my own free time so I am not really behind in its content. I just need the onQ access to start the first assignment which should be available soon. Otherwise, I am confident in my ability to catch up in the material and be at the same level of everyone in that class. Also note that there were no lectures for this class week 1 as it is held on mondays.
On the other hand, I am planning to swap my current class CISC 457 with this one, as this aligns better with my interests and degree.
