Petition Category: Request a review of instructors' decisions on grading of final examination and/or term work
Instructor's Name: Professor Albaugh
Component: I would like to have my short research proposal reviewed. I believe the grading is unnecessarily harsh and my work does not align with the amount of marks that were taken off in the rubric.
Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,
I am writing to formally appeal the final grade of 63% received on my Short Research Proposal in POLS 284. While I have attempted an informal resolution with Dr. Albaugh, the resulting grade is significantly lower than the initial assessment of 70%, and I believe the current marking contains procedural and substantive inconsistencies with the provided rubric.
My appeal is based on the following three grounds:
1. Adherence to Approved Methodological Instructions
The assignment instructions explicitly permit
