Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I am writing to request to withdraw from MATH 121, which is a full-year course, and to add MATH 123 in its place to reflect the fall-term work I completed.
I completed the first half of MATH 121 during the fall term and met the academic requirements for that portion of the course. Due to the passing of my brother, I was unable to continue with the winter term, and I have since decided to withdraw from Queen’s entirely.
Because I am planning to transfer to another university, it is important for my academic record to accurately reflect the credits I earned. Recognizing my completed fall-term work as MATH 123 would allow those credits to be considered for transfer evaluation at another institution.
I am requesting this adjustment so that the coursework I successfully completed can be formally acknowledged.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Academic Plan
If my petition is granted, my academic plan is to step away from Queen’s University and continue my studies at another institution once I am academically and personally prepared to do so.
Due to the personal circumstances I experienced this academic year, I determined that continuing at Queen’s was not the best option for maintaining consistent academic performance. As a result, I have withdrawn from ongoing and future coursework and made the decision to leave the university entirely rather than attempt to continue under conditions that would compromise my academic standing.
My plan moving forward includes:
Taking time away from full-time studies to stabilize and reset my academic trajectory.
Transferring to another university where I can resume my studies with a manageable course load.
Enrolling in term-based courses rather than full-year courses to allow for clearer pacing and evaluation.
Carefully planning course selection in consultation with academic advisors at my next institution to ensure realistic workload expectations.
Ensuring that my academic record accurately reflects the credits I completed is an important part of this plan, as it will support a smooth transition and future academic success. This approach allows me to move forward responsibly while protecting the integrity of my academic progress.
Thank you for your consideration.
