Petition Letter: Hello Dear Petition's team
I am writing this letter to ask for a credit standing in CISC 204. I got a D+ in the class and I am 1.75% away from a C- which is the prerequisite for 223. If I fail to get this credit standing this could negatively impact me a lot as I already forced to take cisc 203 in the winter term as well. If I am forced to take both cisc 204 and cisc 203 next semester I would have to stay an extra year which would add thousands of dollars of cost to me which for my single mom of two is really a big deal so you can really see why I am trying to avoid that. I am right now doing a dual major in computing and econ to ensure my future's security. Moreover I do understand that I have underperformed in the class however I have been let down by the university as I got waitlisted in the 203 and I tried emailing the professor of the other section to see if I can be manually enrolled In his section as it had a time conflict with another class. He declined due to the fact that attendance was mandatory however I believe that I was not given a fighting chance and Im in a situation where I might be forced to take a extra year over 1.75%. I have done well in my other computing classes such as cisc 124 which I got a A.
