Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Early into fall academic term, I was hit with an illness that still has yet to be diagnosed. It caused me to sleep for 16+ hours a day, vomit blood, and overall constant pain and nausea in the head and stomach region. This is likely due to a GI infection I had previously, but I am going in for an examination/MRI during the winter term. This led me to missing much class due to the drowsiness, and the classes I did manage to attend I would consistently fall asleep in. The feeling of being unable to learn and focus on the things important to me made me lose a huge amount of motivation as I physically could not do the things I needed to do in order to be successful, took a massive hit to my mental health, and made me feel like I had to isolate and keep what was happening away from anyone out of embarrassment. I am getting the help I need both mentally and physically and just want another chance to prove I can do the work and succeed here. Notice of my MRI should come soon if that documentation is needed.
