I am submitting this petition to request permission to add POLS 112 – Enduring Political Debates (Lecture 1309, Tutorial 1316) after the add deadline.
Last week, I dropped another course while waiting for a decision on a waitlist, expecting I would be admitted. When that did not occur, I was left needing to add a replacement course in order to maintain a full course load. This situation arose close to and just after the add deadline, which is why I am submitting this petition.
I contacted Professor Andrew Grant directly regarding my request. He has confirmed his permission for me to join POLS 112 and has cc’d the POLS undergraduate assistant to assist with enrolment, provided there is space available.
I have reviewed the course syllabus and am confident I can catch up on any missed material immediately and participate fully going forward.

Academic Plan: If this petition is granted, I will immediately catch up on all missed lectures, readings, and tutorial material for POLS 112 using the course syllabus and online resources. I have already reviewed the course outline and confirmed that I can manage the workload alongside my current courses.
I will stay up to date with all future course requirements by attending lectures and tutorials regularly and maintaining consistent weekly study time for the course. Adding POLS 112 will allow me to maintain a balanced full-course load for the term without overextending myself.
This plan will support my academic progress and ensure successful completion of the course.
