Petition Letter: Part One: Why I missed the exams
1.What Happened
On January 15 2026, I received a control notification from the Chinese authorities. They accused me of being involved in international telecommunications fraud and money laundering, imposing restrictions on my daily activities. They prohibited me from engaging in illegal activities, even though I had never participated in fraud or money laundering. Failure to comply with their demands would result in my extradition to China and potential imprisonment. I felt unjustly accused, which left me feeling deeply aggrieved. The notification from the Chinese authorities also induced extreme anxiety and fear in me for various reasons, leading to my development of depression.
The Chinese authorities forbade me from discussing the content of the notification with anyone and prevented me from disclosing my situation to others. I was required to report my location and daily activities to the police officers responsible for monitoring me. If I failed to do so, I would receive warnings and reprimands from the authorities.
