Petition Letter
Petition Letter:
I am writing to formally petition for approval of a late withdrawal from my courses due to extenuating circumstances beyond my control that significantly affected my academic performance.
During the term, I was impacted by a chronic physical injury that limited my ability to consistently attend classes, complete coursework, and meet academic expectations. This condition caused ongoing physical limitations that interfered with my capacity to engage fully with course requirements, resulting in missed classes, incomplete assignments, and difficulty maintaining the level of performance expected in my courses.
The effects of this injury accumulated over time and ultimately made it academically impractical for me to continue in these courses without further compromising my health and academic standing. After discussions with my professors, we mutually agreed that a late withdrawal was the most appropriate and responsible course of action given my circumstances.
My decision to petition for a late withdrawal reflects my commitment to addressing these challenges appropriately and returning to my studies in a position where I can perform to the best of my ability.
