Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To Whom It May Concern,

During this academic year, I experienced several extenuating circumstances that affected my academic performance. This was my first time living away from home in another province, and I found the transition very difficult. Over time, I began to feel isolated and struggled with my mental health, which made it hard to stay focused and consistent with my schoolwork.

In addition to this, I developed a serious lung infection during the last few weeks of my first semester, which impacted my physical health. I was dealing with low energy, difficulty concentrating, and missed time from classes, which made it harder to keep up with assignments and deadlines. These challenges lasted for several weeks and affected my performance in multiple courses.

Before coming to university, I had never failed a class in my life and had always been able to manage my academic responsibilities successfully. However, the combination of adjusting to living away from home, struggling with my mental health, and dealing with a physical illness all at the same time had a significant impact on my ability to perform. As a result, my grades this year do not reflect my true academic ability.

As I will not be returning next year and am planning to transfer to another university, this request is extremely important to me. My academic record from this year will play a major role in my ability to move forward and continue my studies. I respectfully ask that my petition be considered.

Thank you for your consideration.
James Armstrong
