Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Through my time at queens i always had a tough time stopping me from performing to the best of my potential. The transition initially was very tough as it was hard to stay away from home and academics were piling up. It helped when i was diagnosed with ADHD however circumstances back home did not make it easy. A lot of personal family events along with having issues with getting into my program saw my mental health taking a big hit. A lot of uncontrollable things stopped me from reaching my full potential in my first and second year and still does, i have just gotten better in terms of coping with things. Some of the unfortunate circumstances some i have proof for some i cannot find proof of but they are as follows: undiagnosed ADHD for a chunk of first year, living in government housing in which my father could not find out where we lived, emotional and mental trauma from divorce of parents and mistreatment from father, father moving to another country on a whim and not telling us or paying child support and more. I keep fighting everyday to become the best and most accomplished version of myself that i know i am capable of, and agreement to this petition will aid me in achieving one of my sub goals of acceptance to PSYC specialization and pursing a thesis.
