Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Good afternoon,

My name is Drew Calderwood a 1st queens arts and sciences student.
I am reaching out because I have a problem. I understand that my marks haven’t been the best and that it looks like I am not a good student. I’m writing to you today about my GPHY 101 class that I have failed. I am a Canadian armed forces student attending queens with strict guidelines. I have already failed English which means I have 1 other class this semester that is failed.

I am reaching out today because not only is queens my home but the military is my job and with that transcript that means not only will I lose my job with the Canadian armed forces but that also means that I would not be able to afford Queens university.

These past 4 weeks I have been tested mentally and physically as I am heading to basic training for 12 weeks in 2 days. With that and exams going on at the same time I did not prepare my self well enough as a good student would have. I was also not able to get a good study in for my last 2 exams, (sociology and GPHY) as I attended a funeral. I am not trying to use excuses because that’s not who I am.

I am reaching out asking for one more chance that I could have this class dropped and bring my grades to the table and bring them up. I know if I am given a second chance I’m not going to mess it up, I would do anything to go back and be better from the first day I moved in but I can’t.

Thank you for your time and understanding, I truly am sorry about all my grades and would truly Appreciate one more chance.

Sincerely,
Drew
