Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am writing this petition for a waiver of the petition deadline in the case regarding my enrolment for several reasons. To begin, I made an attempt to register for the course before the course addition deadline, and I was on the waitlist for the Summer section of ECON 111 before the May 8 add deadline. When the deadline came around, I was not enrolled automatically. I was instead cleared from the waitlist despite joining the waitlist before the due date. Next, I contacted the course professor, and he has confirmed in his reply to my email that he has no objection to me joining the course at this time, while also iterating on the fact that enrolment is conducted centrally rather than at the discretion of the professor. Finally, I need to retake ECON 111 this summer to make up important credits that I missed with this course in earlier terms. I respectfully request a waiver of the petition deadline so that I may submit a late add petition for this course.
