Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing to add the course CHEM 313 past the deadline for the 2015-2016 school year. While trying to sort out my plan with my undergraduate chair, we missed the deadline for me to enrol in this course which, we decided on Monday, I need to take this semester to ensure that I do not have to come back for a fifth year and delay my plans for graduate studies. In the 2014-2015 school year, I was enrolled in this course however, after some circumstances I dropped the course. My undergraduate chair was unsure of whether I would need to retake the course or whether she would be able to grant me an exemption from the course as I took the subsequent course the next semester and passed. We found out that I would, in fact, need to retake the course and so I am now appealing to the faculty to add a course after the deadline.
