Petition Letter: From approximately September to October 2025 through December 2025 to January 2026, I was the victim of an international fraud and scam. Throughout this period, I experienced psychological manipulation and intimidation. The individuals responsible required me to remain video calls with them for 24/7, often forcing me to stay connected late until the next morning. They required me to attend multiple video calls every day, leaving me little uninterrupted time to focus on studying. They also verbally abused me, and threatened me by claiming that other victims had been arrested and imprisoned. I was repeatedly told not talk about this situation to anyone, including my parents. As a result, I experienced anxiety, chronic stress, and an inability to maintain a normal daily routine. My physical health was also affected. After I eventually realized that this is a scam and reported it to the police, the money I lost has not been recovered.

Following the university's announcement regarding the severe weather conditions, I also suffered from food poisoning that lasted for approximately one week. I had previously been diagnosed with ADHD, while I had developed strategies to manage my condition before these events, the stress, anxiety, trauma and emotional exhaustion significantly worsened my symptoms.

These circumstances directly affected multiple aspects of my academic performances. My attendance declined because my sleep schedule was disrupted, and i often lacked of the emotional capacity to attend classes consistently.(They also required me to go to designated location during daytime.) I was unable to reply to my eTandem partners on time, (They also restricted who I was allowed to talking to, in the early stages, they required me to show them my chat history.) and I struggled to prepare for my tests, exams and presentations. As a result, my grades during this period does not accurately my academic abilities.

On April 23 2025, I met with a mental health therapist and obtained a verification of extenuating circumstances. This confirms that my circumstances affect my ability t attend classes, communicate with instructors and write tests and exams.
