Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I am requesting permission to register in my honors thesis course after the add drop deadline. Due to troubles with financials, which are outlined in an attached email, a block was placed on my account. Not being able to register in the thesis course prevented me from obtaining full time status, which was required to receive my OSAP funding, which was required for me to pay my tuition. I have been approved for OSAP funding, and an appeal made by me to remove the block on my account was not replied to by the university. I was not aware that my OSAP would not be disbursed until full time status was reached, as there was no information to this effect on the OSAP website, and I was only informed of the issue today when I visited the registrars office to enquire about the overdue (after 4-10 business days) nature of my OSAP account. I have attached a photo of my account status, as it has been since September 30.

I have been attending the seminars required for the thesis course, and have been meeting with my supervising professor regularly. As this course goes for the full year, I had not thought the add drop date for this semester would apply. Unfortunately, as it is split into two (A and B) courses, this was not the case. As soon as I am registered in this course, my OSAP will be processed, and my tuition will be paid in full.

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: As soon as I am registered in this course, my OSAP will be processed, and my tuition will be paid in full. I will continue to attend seminars for my thesis course and work on the research required.
