Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello, my name is Erich Nelson (10042799), I am a 4th year student in a Biology-Mathematics Specialization on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Spring 2016. I currently hold a 3.89 GPA, and am interested in taking a biology field course for the first two weeks of the Winter Term, January 1st to 15th, 2016. I will be taking a course offered by DANTA: Association for Conservation of the Tropics entitled Birds of Costa Rica, and I would like to count this course as a concentration credit for my BIMA-P-BSH program. I also intend to be a full time student at Queen's University this Winter term, and will miss the first two weeks of my studies. This will not be a problem for me academically, especially since I am enrolled in a thesis course counting toward 2 of my 5 courses next term. To do this, I need an appeal to study abroad for all or part of third or fourth year of an honours program (Academic Regulation 14.4). Thank you for your consideration, Erich Nelson.
