Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I would like to switch from FRST290 to FREN290. This is an online course offered in two sections, one in English and one in French. I am currently enrolled in the English section however I wish to be enrolled in the French section. I have been submitting all of my course material in French up to this point, however the professor did not catch the error as she wasn't checking who was in what section on each transcript. In short, although my transcript shows that I am in the English section, my intent was to be in the French section and that is how I have been completing it.

I did check with my academic advisor prior to enrolling into the course, however she did not have the most up to date files as the French program altered this year. She was not aware that there was a new course code that I had to select. She brought it to my attention when I saw her on Friday, and I would like to have this switched as I would like to have it count towards my French medial program.

I am submitting this appeal as instructed by Agathe Nicholson from the French department, who had another student go through this process not too long ago. She will be e-mailing the documents required for support in the transfer. She mentioned that the previous student had the appeal fee wiped. If this would be possible for myself as well I would greatly appreciate it
