I am appealing the Faculty's decision that I must withdraw from Queen's for three years.
This year I was placed on part-time studies after sending in my appeal of withdrawing from Queen's for one year. By coming back this year, I was not only aware of how important this year will affect me, but also promised myself that I have to do my best to achieve the mark that I needed.
Starting from second year of studying at Queen's University, I have been going through essential tremor and anxiety disorder (depression). Throughout last year and this year, I have been taking pyridoxine HCL, propranolol HCL, VCB, lexotan tablets, mefenamic acid, B-complex tab, V1TB6. My tremor has slowly been decreasing through medications and sickness had also improved. I am currently in a math bachelor general program, and the hardest struggle that causes my sickness to decrease this year is mostly through the finals. Most of the math courses I took require at least a 50 to 60 final. I had been through a few panic attacks during the period and even though I am taking medications, I still struggle a lot through writing exams. It is not very predictable and comes unconsciously, therefore I was not aware of the sudden symptoms and upon that I also had a few blackouts and emotional struggles. However, I really do have full confidence that I did try very hard throughout this year, by attending every single extra hours, complete every single exercise and went to professor for help whenever I needed. I also took time out of school to discuss with classmates, reading extra material. I did do well in most of the assignments through the year and did ended up getting an A- in one of my math courses in the winter semester. By past experiences I also know that I work better through taking courses in the summer, therefore I am currently taking two courses to boost my GPA.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: For my current program, I have finished all my mandatory courses, and I am currently taking two courses during the summer. To be able to complete my program, I would only need two more half-credit courses. Since I am done with all my pre-requirement courses, I would want to finish my two half courses by taking courses that does not require a heavy weight of final and in a lower level. I believe that by taking two courses with a lightweight of course load, I would be able to get a good mark in both courses and complete the studies by December and be able to go back to Taiwan to fully recover my body before I start anymore studying in the future. I am asking the Associate Dean (Studies) of Arts and Science to grant me the last opportunity to have the chance to return to Queen's University again.
