Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,
I am appealing to drop ANAT 315 (Fall, 2015) and KNPE 251 (Fall, 2015).
It is extenuating circumstances beyond my control that have had a severe impact on my academic studies. These began in early October and have continued to affect me to this day. These psychological challenges have been debilitating and have left me unable to go to many of my classes in these courses and to complete the coursework. In ANAT 315, I missed laboratories and lectures and thus fell behind. In KNPE 251 I also missed tutorials, lectures and a term test. I was seen by Queen¿¿s Health and Wellness Services by a doctor and a counsellor during this time.
I have met with the Undergraduate Coordinator to discuss the next steps in order to succeed in my future studies. I plan to retake both of these courses in the near future ¿¿ either in the Winter term, Summer or next Fall. I also plan to maintain regular meetings with my medical professional and a personal counsellor.
