Petition Letter: Hi there,
My name is Ruofeng Peng, and I am a fourth year philosophy major hoping to drop my courses after the deadline. I have been significantly affected by several personally traumatic events that started occuring last November, and are still on-going. These events have taken a serious toll on my academic and personal life, as well as my mental health.
I have been going back and forth from Kingston to Toronto quite frequently to help with my family issues, causing me to miss most of my lectures and even some work shifts.
During these hard times, I have reached out to my close friends for support, I have also set up appointments with Hagar Prah at Student Affairs, as well as Whitney Babcock at La Salle to try to cope with these events. Whitney was kind enough to offer a letter of accommodation for me, which will be delivered later.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to consider this, my family and I really appreciate your time and efforts.
