Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Dean,
This time last year I applied for a course (distance education) in English Literature. Having made the application, I waited for a response. Unknown to me, an email response was sent that was favourable to let me into the course.
However, I did not see the email (junk mail filter) and therefore I did not pay, log in or complete any activity related the course. It was my understanding that for this process, I would apply, and then get approval, and then make a decision by paying for the course before being registered. I was not aware that being approved for my application would lead to automatic enrollment into the course.
As a result of me not logging in or paying for the course, a grade of zero was given to me, and a lock was put on my account. I was not aware of any of this until a week ago when I applied to a distance course again for English Literature and was informed that my application could not be approved until the lock was removed. This was the first I've heard of any of the past course.
I am appealing to have the course, and the grade of zero removed from my transcript.
Please find attached a screenshot of the email chain from my conversations with David Youssef.
