Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Requesting AG standing for HIST 467 and CLST 129 as well as dropping HIST 461 after the academic deadline. Presently I am faced with a psychological challenge which adversely affects my schoolwork. I continue to have issues with my ability to focus, concentrate, memory, sleep, and energy. I find it impossible to retain any information. Composing essays is a particular challenge since I am not able to critically evaluate anything I have read. Physically it has become increasingly difficult to have energy to attend classes. On the days I was able to attend my anxiety was severe enough to prevent me from participating in any class discussions. It has also prevented me from being able to present anything in front of my peers. I am currently under the care of a physician and undergoing treatment for this condition, and I will likely be able to resume my academics in the fall.
