Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean of History,
I enrolled in History of the Crusade (Hist 243) with professor Richard Greenfield as an elective this semester. Over the course of the entire semester I have been experiencing health problems, which took away from my study abilities. I was brought to the doctor over reading week after being in a car collision. This visit brought about a change in my medication (not due to the crash, simply as I saw my doctor since I had to). I was advised to seek and register with the Academic Accessibility Office. This I have done and am referring you to them for all supporting documentation. I had thought I could re-cooperate my semester after missing the course drop deadline. However my medication is still being adjusted. As I am trying to right my academic course, I am prioritizing my effort to catch up on late assignments in other courses which are required for my degree. I am still catching up on these other courses. I am in a position where I have 0 of my course mark in for Hist-243. I do not have time in this semester to make up late assignments and learn the material for the exam, which is why I am appealing for a late withdrawl from Hist 243 (Winter 2016).
Best,
Jack Hogarth (10206184)
