Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am appealing to drop GPHY 102 past the drop deadline. Throughout my time at Queen¿¿s I have battled with severe depression, anxiety and PTSD. This has taken a large toll on my academic performance, much to my dislike. As I am constantly working on not only getting better but also trying to do well in school. This past December I also experienced a traumatic loss, which unfortunately just added to the stress. I have also experienced several illnesses in this semester alone. (Flu, severe colds, eye infections etc.) While they might not be severe illnesses they certainly take a toll on the body and the ability to perform and attend class. I sincerely apologize for having to appeal to drop this course. I have sought out medical attention several times, documentation provided. As well I have returned to counselling through Queens. I have been attending counselling with Anita and although I have not been seeing her for a long while, I can already feel a small change in my everyday life.
