To the Associate Dead of Studies,

I am appealing to gain credit standing for KNPE 255 (Physical Activity Fitness and Health), ANAT 316 (Human Visceral Systems) and KNPE 331 (Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries). I am also appealing to drop KNPE 227 (Exercise Physiology) from my transcript.

The extenuating circumstances that have affected my schoolwork is that my father was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago and has been an on-going struggle. This past semester he was able to receive a bone marrow transplant which was preceded by a large amount of chemotherapy and radiation. After the transplant he has been very weak and has contracted a slight graft versus host disease. This has been very stressful for me to split my time properly between schoolwork and spending time with my father. I have attached medical documentation supporting my appeal due to my father¿¿s illness.

I have already changed my degree from an honors degree to a general degree in order to finish the program more quickly. This is my last semester at Queens, I will be completing the last two credits needed online so that there is more flexibility to spend time with my family. I will be looking into finding an equivalent course for KNPE 227 Exercise Physiology to take over the summer or next fall.
