Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Good afternoon,
I'm writing to request permission to enrol in ENGL200 and HIST260, despite having missed Friday's deadline to do so. I've only just managed to clear my outstanding tuition from Winter semester. I've submitted proof of payment to the Registrar's office, and have had the hold on my account lifted.
I have been in touch with both instructors, and have received their permission to request admission. Professor Carson is confident about my ability to catch up. He has put me in touch with my TA so that we can begin making arrangements for a suitable date to submit my first assignment, should this appeal be granted.
Dr. Ritchie has given me detailed information about the material I have missed so far. She is keen to help me make an informed decision about my ability to catch up. Based on the information she has given me, I believe that, while doing so will require focussed work and dedication, I will be able to work through the material assigned over the last couple of weeks, and submit my first assignment on time.
Last semester, I maintained a 4.3 average across all of my courses while also working full-time. I am now able to devote myself exclusively to my schoolwork. These courses will be my only significant responsibilities through the end of July. It's important to me to stay on track with my academic progress. I have chosen to request enrolment in only two classes, because I want to make sure that the amount of work I'm taking on with respect to catching up is feasible. I know I have the ability to perform well in these classes, and I would be grateful for the opportunity to do so.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Unlike last semester, where I was working full-time in addition to taking three courses, the two courses I am requesting to add will be my only priority over the summer. I maintained a 4.3 average across my three courses last semester, and am confident in my ability to perform well this term.
