To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing to appeal for Aegrogat standing for my five courses due to a health issue.
On March 21, 2016 I became ill with a severe headache. After a couple of weeks of being hospitalized and receiving treatment for a suspected bacterial meningitis, it was discovered that I had a tumour in my spine. The surgery to remove the tumour was April 8, and the pathology showed that it was a low grade malignant Ependymoma. Today marks the 5 week point since the surgery. I am still bed bound, with inflammation of my head and spine persisting. I cannot read due to eye strain, and sit for only a few moments at a time. Recovery will take between 3 months to a year and as this is a rare phenomenon, there is limited data and my prognosis is unclear. That said, my goal at this time is to work towards returning to university this fall.
