Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

New Information: Please disregard the previous letter as it was incomplete and I sent it by accident. I would appretiate it if i could drop psychology because i feel like the past year was a very difficult for me. I had a full course load I felt like the course load was exceptionally heavy. To add to that, my grandmother went through a difficult bout of breast cancer which was very stressful and definitely impacted my academic performance. To make matters worst, my brother - currently a Queens student as well - went through (and is still suffering) from acute depression. There were many times when I had to put his needs and safety before mine, Although I did my best with the heavy workload I felt like I was always taking 3 steps forward and 1 step back never queite getting a hold of the workload, especially the readings.
Please consider my request to drop the course, I'm not happy about the situation however due to the above circumstances I'm hoping that this poor grade will not affect my overall GPA, and affect which major I could choose. i am 100 dedicated to achieve my goals at queens, I am confident that next term will be more successful.
