Petition Letter: Dear, Associate Dean (Studies)

I am appealing the Faculty's decision that I must withdraw from Queen's for a minimum of three years. I clearly understand that after first decision I have to achieve 1.6 in cumulative GPA. I retake the course to raise my GPA but I put PHYC 100 in the future plan. Therefore I did achieve 1.8 GPA during 2015 to 2016 academic year but not in cumulative GPA.

During exam period my side jaw swell up and I need to see doctor as soon as possible. I can not eat and sleep because of pain. After Medical exam I realized my wisdom tooth need to be remove as soon as possible to relief from pain (the pill did not help). After one week I got call from doctor and I decide to remove my wisdom tooth (both side) at (Centennial oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) for relief from pain. After surgery, still I can not eat and having hard time focused on study.

I believe the pain stress (that can not eat and sleep), it effected my exam condition because before the exam all my assignment and Quiz was success. During 2015-2016 academic year I made a lot of progress, and this is a beginning of development, not an end.

Thank you
Yeonju Kim

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: Dear, Associate Dean (Studies)

Now I am working at Korean company (Baeminfresh) as intern (Brand Marketing assistant) during summer. After remove from academic withdraw I am planning to take PHYC100 and some of Art course (I need to see academic assistant) to raise my GPA up from 1.8 to more than 1.9 and with my portfolio I will apply for change the plane to Bachelor of Fine Art Program. I was great student especially in photographic class and I got photographic award during end of high school.

I am also thinking about minor course for part of future plan. I don't want to give up my study in Queen's University. Again I believe the pain stress (that can not eat and sleep), it effected my exam condition because before the exam all my assignment and Quiz was success. During 2015-2016 academic year I made a lot of progress, and this is a beginning of development, not an end.

Thank you
Yeonju Kim
