Petition Letter: To: The Faculty of Arts and Science, the associate Dean (studies)

I am appealing to clear the balance of an outstanding debt that the faculty says I have.

Last year I had been accepted to Queen¿¿s for the Bachelor of Science program. Before accepting the offer, I had called the Queen¿¿s administration office to ask about a deferral. I was told that I should accept the offer and then send an email to defer for a year.

However, I was not granted a deferral. The letter from the Executive director stated that if I still intend on attending Queen¿¿s I should let the undergraduate committee know by contacting them.

I thought I didn¿¿t have to take any other measures to further stop the process of my admission.

After, not being granted a deferral my family and I made the decision to go to Medical School in India.

I have not attended a single class at Queen's, I did not even choose any classes to take. Due to the difficulty in accessing Canadian websites from here, and not being able to properly communicate I was not able to complete the Solus details to say that I was not going to attend University at all. I am sorry for such an inconvenience. I hope my situation is understood and I get cleared of all my outstanding debt.
