Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: This letter is respectfully addressed to the Associate Dean of Arts & Science.


I am appealing in request to waive the 21-day appeal deadline that has passed this June 2016 mandating a 3 year-withdraw from studies.
The last time I navigated this process it was completed via paper mail, and I was incompetent in maintaining my Queen's U email inbox once the semester was completed. Unfortunately I was not made aware of my current academic situation until I used SOLUS for a secondary activity.
After checking my SOLUS account to make a financial payment last Thursday June 30th, I discovered there was a hold on my account and pursued it immediately. After completing an academic advising appointment with Heather late on Thursday, she was a phenomenal assistance and guided me through the appropriate process I would have to take to attempt to return to school in the fall. I must complete 9 elective credits to achieve graduation and I would like to do everything possible to achieve success in this.
