Dear Associate Dean,
I am appealing to drop Hist 125 and 260 from my courses. They are summer courses and are past the deadline to drop them.
My reason for this appeal is that I have been passing through family issues that have put a strain on my mental health. Two close relatives got in a car accident and were in the hospital for about a month after which they unfortunately declared they will be paralyzed for the rest of their lives. It has been very difficult for me to collect myself and do course work during their stay in the hospital and after the doctors' bad news. I have been seeing counselors and doctors in the Student Wellness Center for a while now but have been unable to go for the past couple of months because my work schedule does not permit me so I have been struggling a lot this summer.
I plan to continue meeting counselors for help when fall begins since I would not be working full time then. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Mak¿¿an Dakwal.
