Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear whom it may concern.

I am appealing my deadline on the course PHYS216, in the hopes to have it extended for one more term. Despite having worked hard and achieving my best semester of my university career last winter, I was overwhelmed by the idea of my PHYS216 exam due to my uncertainty for the broad range of possible content that may be covered, and the sheer weight factor of the exam (of 64 of my final mark) Between such stress during exams in the winter of 2016 as I was on academic probation which required me to get all B or above in every class, as well as a summer internship that turned out to be much busier than I had expected, I severely struggled to prepare for my PHYS 216 exam before the course deadline. I had discussed the details to my stress and struggle at the time with my counselors as well as my professor.

Despite my lacking in preparations in this class, I actually managed to successfully achieve a B or more in every other course I took last winter term, including an online course of MATH121 which I did both exams for during the winter term. I really did work hard during last winter term.

However I am also aware that my course load and the details within is my responsibility and I should only commit to what I am able to handle. Therefore in the future, I promise to be more up to date with all of my classes through further improving my time management. I hope you will give me this chance to have my course deadline extended so I can have the chance to show my fair share with PHYS216, like my other courses last winter term as well. Thank you for your time
