I am appealing to add GNDS 120 to my course load for the Fall 2016 semester.
The extenuating circumstances surrounding this appeal is due to CHEM 112 in which I dropped. I took CHEM 112 in order to keep more options available for future plans, however I did not have a strong enough chemistry background and it was causing an overwhelming amount of stress that I could not handle. When I dropped the course, I was unaware the last day to drop or add classes was Friday. I was also unaware that you were unable to swap a 6 unit course. It was my understanding that changes to your course schedule could be made through Solus without appeals until September 30th. Unfortunately, I made an error and in the future I will choose my courses more wisely and pay close attention to due dates.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: In the future, I will take a course load I know I can handle. To catch up, I will use my resources that will be accessible via OnQ or through textbook readings and through other classmates to see what has been discussed in lectures. I believe dropping CHEM 112 was what was best for my emotional/ mental wellbeing and adding GNDS 120 will overall improve my academic success here at Queens. I have learned from this experience and will known how to handle picking courses for next time.
