Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I was on the waitlist for COMM200 Section 002 since before the school year began. I was position 6 when I first checked in the waitlist. I came to the first lecture of COMM200 since I thought it would be beneficial to keep up with the material while I wait to be enrolled. The professor assured me that enough students drop it within the first weeks for the waitlist to enroll. After that day I moved up to position 3 on the waitlist. I noticed that there were ample spaces in the class but that the waitlist was not being enrolled. After the second week, there were 10 open spaces. I contacted the professor and SOLUS to figure out why I wasn't being enrolled. Only after the academic deadline did I receive a response to submit an appeal. I believe these factors were beyond my control, so I wish to be enrolled in the COMM200 class, since it is a requirement for my Software Development specialization within the Computing faculty.
