Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I'm writing this appealing letter to request respectfully to consider allowing a late drop of BIOL 102. During the fall term of 2016, I was not in a proper condition where I have suffered from mental illness, more specifically, depression and social phobia. Due to these matters, I was not able to attend most of the labs and group sessions which require interacting with numerous individuals and this has lead to significant failure of studying and completing the materials. Currently, I'm receiving the treatment along with the medications and I can promise to receive continuous treatment to prevent this situation to ever happen again. My future plan for this academic year is to receive at least passing grade in December exam for other 3 courses (PHYS 117, CHEM 112, MATH 121) and challenge myself to achieve highest grades that my capability allows in the winter term. I'm also planning to take BIOL 102 and BIOL 103 during the winter term to try once again. Thank you
