Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing to be added to the DRAM 345 course running from the 2016 fall term to the 2017 winter term under the guidance of Adair Redish. I have been attending the class since the beginning of the year, under the belief that I was enrolled. I was made aware that I was not in fact enrolled shortly before the end of the term, and met with both my Drama adviser, Lee Atkinson, as well as my professor, Adair Redish.

The reason that I believed I was enrolled was due to a misunderstanding between Lee Atkinson and myself, during the summer. We had been discussing the course and I had asked her if she could enroll me. I had also inquired about another course around the same time, so when I received a positive reply, I assumed it was for both courses.

I was later made aware of the mistake, and discussed my options with both Adair and Lee. They encouraged me to submit an appeal, stating that they would both support it.
