Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

New Information: I am writing to appeal to the Associate Dean to waive the 21 Day or one term deadline. The reason why I didn't submit an appeal within this time frame was because I didn't know my options at the time and was terrified about the outcome of my academics which was exacerbated by my depression and anxiety. I had made myself believe that my mental illness would not be taken seriously by administration and would be ostracized for it. After receiving counselling and encouragement by my physician and psychotherapist, I booked an appointment with Queen's Academic Advising in September 2016 to examine my options and possible support from the administration to help me complete my degree. That was when Ms. Heather Carter suggested an appeal would be the best possible option for me.
