Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Appeal credit standing in PHIL 259¿CISC422¿CISC 457 and CISC 320
I am writing this letter to ask for appealing credit standing in PHIL 259(Critical Thinking)
,CISC422(Formal Methods in Software Engineering),CISC 457(Image Processing) and CISC 320 (Fundamentals of Software Development), held within 2016 fall term.

I got D+,D-,C-,C- in these courses respectively and caused my cumulative GPA to drop by 0.05 grade points.I knew that my grades would be below my average grade before the exam due to my condition over the term, but not to the extent of failing. In fact,I was so sure that I would pass and I will need the credits, that's why I decided to request credit standing instead of dropping before the deadline.
I got relatively fine grades on my assignments and projects and it's generally because there's not a very strict time limit so I could spend as much time as I needed without feeling anxious and block as while I'm writing the tests.I got 6.8/10,45/60 and 35/50 on my PHIL 259 assignemnts;100, 95,80 and 60 on my CISC 320 assignments and 67.5 on my course project;85,83.75 and 51 on my CISC422 assignments;12/20¿10/10 and 8/10 on my CISC 457 assignments. Despite that I worked hard and did fine on my coursework,I did really bad on the midterms and finals because I couldn¿¿t help being overly anxious and stressed over the exams as I felt like the results could largely affect my fate.
As my therapist Doctor Susan Ngo in student wellness center moves away from Kingston,I didn¿¿t get prescriptions and treatments anymore and felt powerless from time to time. I didn¿¿t request for a new therapist until this January. Being overly stressed over the exams and sleep deprivation were the main causes of those poor grades. I felt so bad during the exam session that I was sent to the ER the night before my last exam but I still completed it later. I feel it's such a shame since I have put so much efforts into the coursework and actually did fine on the assignments.
I will be finishing my last few requisite courses this term, my plan is to raise my grade as much as I can and wrap up my requisite undergrad project in the summer (I almost finished the project but still need to raise my GPA by 0.09 before the summer to be enrolled in the undergrad project course and then be graded)and apply for graduation after the summer.

Sincerely, student 10061146
