Petition Letter: Dear Miss/Sir,
I would like to appeal to this matter about adding Phil 270 Mind and Machine back to my course list for this winter term. On February 8th, I accidentally dropped the course on Solus. On that day there is a quiz that worth 10 and I had study whole night with couple of my classmates, i did not get any sleep and I was really stress out because by the time I need to go to the class in the morning my mind was a blank about the material. I did not really grasp the main point of the reading and also I was exhausted from the lack of sleep. I did not really want to do the exam and face the challenge at that point so I went on Solus and tried to drop it, while i was doing that I was struggling and was not sure am I right to do that, after clicking the drop button it appears to be pending and the course Phil 270 is still on my onq the following 2 days. While I thought I did not really drop the course, I continued going to the class ( there are attendance in the class so the instructor should have document about me attending the class after February 8th) . After reading week I realized that the course is officially dropped. However, after attending couple more classes I find out that If i read the material at least 3 times I should be able to grasp the meaning of it, the philosophical reading is clearly very challenging to me and at that point I was having a psychological breakdown and chose to avoid the quiz. I am very regret about attempting to drop the course and I am willing to get 0 for the first quiz that I missed but I am very determined to join this class back. Thank you
Best regards,
Jeffrey

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Dear Miss/Sir,
As I point out on my appealing letter, I realized that the philosophical reading on this class are meant to be read more than 3 times to understand the meaning of it, I should be more prepare for it and constantly reading the material in the future, I also should stay more focus during class and be on top of the material by attending office hour for questions. I also learnt that I should not avoid the challenge and dropped the course easily because of its difficulty.
regards,
Jeffrey
