Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Respected Associate Dean of Studies,
Arts and Science
My name is JingWen Cao, I am a second year Con-Ed student at Queen¿¿s University. (Student number 10181903) Due to a painful experience occurred during the Winter Term of 2016, I was and still am experiencing a continuous anxiety and depression. It impacted my normal functioning and affected my academic performance in the past year. In February 2017 after an emotional breakdown, my parents flew to Kingston the next weekend to check upon me and brought me to the student service to schedule an appointment.
After a number of appointments with my department¿¿s counsellor and academic advisor, which I deeply appreciate their openness, kindness and support, I was advised to write an official appeal regarding my situation as part of a solution towards my ongoing pressure and help me form future academic plans.
I am appealing for:
1. A late drop for a course in fall term 2016. (PSYC 241 Social Psychology)
2. Aegrotat: estimated grade in a course in fall term 2016. (FILM 240 Media and Popular Culture)
Sincerely,
JingWen Cao
