Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean;
I am writing this letter to request a withdrawal from the course CISC 271 of this winter
In the beginning of the semester, I noticed I was struggling with the course; albeit due to a lack of better preparation. I decided to work through it and noticed my grades were not acceptable.
I intended to drop the course after giving the course some effort but when I looked at the date to drop the course without academic penalty, I was a few days too late. I was loaded with other school work and did not pay adequate attention to the school deadlines. I do not have any other extenuating circumstances to present but rather, it was an honest careless mistake.
In sum, I'd like to withdraw from the course but I understand the consequences of my carelessness.
