Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To the Associate Dean (Studies),

I am writing to have the 21-day deadline waived due to circumstances beyond my control. Due to psychological concerns, I was unable to complete and appeal on time, as I was both incapable and preoccupied. I have moved back to my hometown, Vancouver, and spoken with my family and physician. The decision has been made to remain in Vancouver and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts instead of the Bachelor of Arts Honors I originally intended. It will be best for my health to take a break from schooling and focus on my psychological concerns. I am requesting to waive the 21-day deadline, to request CR status and to drop courses after the drop period as I was unable to perform to the best of my ability. This included not completing much of my coursework, resulting in a failing grad. Please see my appeal for CR status and to drop the courses for more information on why I am submitting this appeal.
