Petition Letter: To whom this may concern,
My name is Michelle Blumberg and I have just completed my second year in the life sciences major. I am writing this letter in order to appeal for late entrance into a summer 2017 online course. I am aware that the deadline to apply was last Friday and that classes started last Monday. I just recently came back from a volunteering trip with MedLife in Peru and couldn¿¿t access solus in order to apply for an online course.
The course I would like to take is Psyc-205 which is offered online this summer. The reason I would like to take this course is because I am interested in possibly switching into the psychology major. I understand that this may be difficult, however, I have already taken two of the core psychology courses. I am highly interested in this subject and I believe that taking this online course would get me started in the right direction.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: As previously mentioned, I am considering changing my major plan from the life science major to a psychology major. The reason for this is because I have always been interested in medicine and also in a psychology career. I have recently been more serious about pursuing my interest in psychology and I believe that changing my major is my best option. With that being said, I would like to take this summer course in order to get ahead. Furthermore, I believe that taking a psychology course will allow me to confirm my thoughts on switching majors. I am a very organized student and I believe that beginning this course a week late will not affect my performance.
