Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
I am appealing today for a late entrance into Economics 212 over the summer period. This course runs from May 1st, through end of July. The reason for my appeal was a misunderstanding in the courses that would be available over the summer period. I understand that the cause of this circumstance was in my control, and that had I prepared earlier, or checked thoroughly for available courses, there would not have been any issue at this time. I do also know that if I plan to graduate by Christmas with the highest GPA possible, I will need to remediate two grades. Before becoming a history major, I was briefly an economics major. During my second year, I failed two courses; ECON 212, and 222. These two failed courses are severely dropping my overall GPA, and would affect my future without doubt. If I were to be allowed to rejoin Econ 212 and complete it over the summer, I would then take Econ 222 during the fall term, and strengthen my grades. I understand that I am already behind in the course material, but these two years of further experience as a student, and development, would allow me to quickly catch up. If I wish to pursue studies beyond my undergrad, it would be of great benefit to re-take Econ 212 and boost my overall GPA. Thank you for your time and consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Nathan C. Fish

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: As mentioned previously, If I were allowed to take Econ 212 over the summer months, I would then be able to retake Econ 222 and allow my GPA to recover. Over these past two years, I have developed as a student and an individual, and I firmly believe in my ability to take this course once again, and this time succeed.
